Bathtub Refinishing Bathtub Reglazing Discount Latest Post No-slip Surface Promotion

Ok. I know what you are thinking. Today isn’t National Bathtub Day. It’s in less than a month on Friday, October 7th, 2016 and we are getting pumped for it. It is shocking that most people don’t know about this awesome day. Well, lets face it, how many of us take baths on a regular basis? How many of us take baths at all? Most of us jump in the shower to get in and out. We don’t have time in our busy schedules for a relaxing bath. Between checking emails, watching our favourite tv shows, eating dinner as a family (if you still do that) and whatever else you do in the evenings, most people don’t take baths anymore. For the people who shower in the mornings before they run off to work, well we know why you are showing in the morning and not taking a bath.

Did you know that December 5th, 2016 is Bathtub Party Day and February 9th, 2017 is next tub day, it’s called National Read in the Bathtub Day. So mark your calendars and take a bath on October 7th, 2016, December 5th, 2016 and finally February 9th, 2017.

These days came into effect as a fun way to get people to remember they could take baths in a more relaxing or fun way, not just in a quick in-and-out way (when they didn’t have showers). Obviously when showers came the norm, the bathtub holidays were forgotten. Well, at Dr. Tubs Reglazing, we say Hell No We Won’t Go! Save the Tubs! Save the Tubs!

Jan 13 National Rubber Ducky Day

Did you know that every January 13th is National Rubber Ducky Day? Why not celebrate it by tossing a bunch of those yellow bodied, orange billed rubber duckies into your bath tonight. Relax in your tub and sing the “rubber ducky” song while playing with them. Enjoy the day and let others know by using #nationalrubberduckyday on social media.

Did you know that the first patent for a rubber duck toy was in 1928. The design was for a a bath toy which was weighted and when tipped would return to its upright position.

Most of us know the most famous rubber ducky, being the friend of Ernie on Sesame Street. Rubber Duckie made his debut in February 1970.

Rumours have it that the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II had a rubber ducky in her bathroom with a crown on it.

Don’t forget, you can always count on Dr. Tubs Reglazing to refinish your bathtub, sink and tiles so you’ll be ready to celebrate next year on Friday, January 13, 2017. Call Dr. Tubs Reglazing of Toronto, Canada to refinish your bathroom at 416-630-9143.
